Conditions:
None.
This crash occurred on the standby PRE-1 of a Cisco ESR 10008 running 12.0(27)S5. From the crashinfo file it would seem this is not patform dependent.
This crash will only occur on a Cisco IOS device that is configured for Quality of service and per-packet load-balancing - PPLB.
Workaround:
None
Solution:
This crash occurred because IOS attempted to write to an invalid address - 0x100. This is a software bug. This post will be updated when Cisco provides details of the bug fix.
Upgrade to 12.0(32)S, 12.0(30)SZ9 and later Cisco IOS releases to get the fix to this bug.
