Cisco IOS Crashes with TestSPRPInbandPing fail on Catalyst 6500

Symptom:
The supervisor on a catalyst 6500 will crash as shown below;
-- %CONST_DIAG-SP-2-HM_SUP_CRSH: Supervisor crashed due to unrecoverable errors, Reason: Failed TestSPRPInbandPing
%Software-forced reload
Conditions:
This crash will occur when distributed etherchannel is configured.
Workaround:
None
Solution:
This is a software bug that is resolved in Cisco IOS 12.2(17d)SXB9 and later release.
Note: Do not RMA the supervisor as this will not resolve this bug.
