Symptom:

The IOS router or switch crashes.

Conditions:

This symptom will occur if the filename argument of the tftp-server Cisco IOS EXEC command has a length greater than 67 characters.

Workaround:

Reduce the length of the filename argument to less than 67 characters

Solution:

The only solution to this bug is to upgrade to any of the following Cisco IOS releases - 12.0(32)S, 12.2(18)SXE2, 12.2(18)SXF, 12.3(16), 12.2(17d)SXB9, 12.2(30)S, 12.4(3), 12.4(3)T
